この度、イラストレーターのJulie Blanchin Fujita（ジュリ・ブランシャン・フジタ）の展覧会「Nami m’inspire －私のミューズ、波美」を2019年6月11日(火)〜6月22日(土)までふげん社にて開催いたします。

ジュリさんは、東京で活動するフランス出身のイラストレーターです。取材の一環で東京に滞在したときに日本文化に感動して、2009年から日本での生活を始められました。現在は結婚して一児の母として東京で暮らしていらっしゃいます。

6年間の日本生活をユニークな視点からイラストとテキストで生き生きと描いたルポルタージュ『J’AIME LE NATTÔ （納豆が好き）』は、フランスの出版社Hikari Editionsから2017年に出版されました。本書は今夏に日本の出版社から刊行予定です。

そのほかにも雑誌『まいにちフランス語』（NHK出版）や雑誌『ふらんす』（白水社）の連載など多岐にわたり活動されています。

本展では、彼女の創作活動のミューズとして、いつも隣にいる娘の波美に着想を得て制作した作品たちを展示いたします。会期中には、水彩画ワークショップも行われます。そちらも併せて是非お楽しみください。

Julie Blanchin Fujita

ジュリ・ブランシャン・フジタ

１９７９年、フランス西部 サント市に生まれる。

両親が近郊の小さな村に古い一軒家を買い、 家が改築される間、ジュリは農場や自然の中で絵を描いたり、
秘密基地で世界中を旅する事を空想しながら、 幼少期を過ごす。

弟と妹が生まれた後、１９９２年ペルピニャン近郊の小さな村に 移り住む。

その後、ニーム高等学校、トゥールーズ大学へ進学。
ストラスブール・アートスクールを２００４年に卒業。
２００５年からイラストレーターとして活動を開始する。 

財団から援助を受け、ドキュメンタリーイラストレーターとして、
アマゾンの熱帯雨林を中心にポリネシア、オーストラリアなどにて取材活動を行う。 

２００８年、取材活動の一環として東京に短期間滞在する。その時、日本の文化に感動し、
翌年の２００９年から日本で生活を始める。 

現在、結婚し一児の母として東京で暮らし、イラストレーション／グラフィック／ウェブデザイン／
アニメーション／ワークショップ／ライブペインティングを行う。

外国人の為のフランス語教員の資格を取得し、フランス語教育を行う。

Julie Blanchin Fujita’s exhibition　” Nami m’inspire “

We are pleased to hold illustrator Julie Blanchin Fujita’s exhibition “Nami m’inspire” from June 11 to 22, 2019. Julie is a French illustrator, based in Tokyo. She was impressed by Japanese culture when she stayed in Tokyo as part of the interview, and has started living in Japan since 2009. Currently, She live in Tokyo with her husband and daughter Nami.

We will display the works inspired by Nami. She always be with Julie as Muse who is the source of inspiration for a creative artist. During the exhibiton, a watercolor workshop will be held. Please enjoy together.

■Profile

Julie Blanchin Fujita

Soon after I was born in 1979, my parents bought a ruined house in a tiny village near La Rochelle (France). While they worked on renovations, I grew up around farms and nature, spending my time drawing, building tree houses and dreaming of travels and adventure.

In 1992, after the births of my brother and sister, we all moved to a village near Perpignan. I studied arts in Nîmes high school , University in Toulouse and I was graduated from the College of visual artsin Strasbourg in 2004.

Then, I moved to Lyon and started working as a freelance illustrator. I also produced projects as a documentary illustrator., this allowed me to travel in Polynesia, Australia, French Guyana and Amazon forest, where I worked a lot.

In 2009, as part of one of these documentary projects, I came to Tokyo. It was a cultural choc, everything was so different, I was fascinated by the culture… I decided finally to set up home here.

I live now in Tokyo where I work as a freelance illustrator and graphic designer, surrounded by my husband Issei Fujita (isseifujita.com) and our daughter Nami.
